Happy to have been part of the jury for the Spazio X section at the Front Doc Festival 2024 in Aosta!
Curator Filippo Pontiggia invited me to join the jury of Spazio X, a section dedicated to cutting-edge audiovisual experimentation, and selected truly fascinating works. It may sound like a cliché, but I sincerely want to express my appreciation for the quality and diversity of the selection.
The richness of ideas and artistic directions made our discussions intense and not always easy—especially when it came to assigning awards. Choosing is never simple, but it was an inspiring opportunity to exchange views with the other jury members, Chicco Margaroli and Andrea Carlotto, really inspired artist and wonderful persons.
During the festival, I led a three-day immersive video workshop, exploring both 360° and 180° formats. Participants dove into a hands-on journey that seamlessly blended theory and practice, learning not just the technical tools, but also the creative possibilities of immersive storytelling. It was inspiring to see how quickly ideas came to life and how each participant experimented with the unique language of VR video.
